ALONG WITH THE FOLLOWING AXE THROWING RULES,
EACH GUEST IS REQUIRED TO SIGN A RELEASE FORM.
OUR RULES ARE DESIGNED TO ENSURE YOUR SAFETY AND YET HAVE FUN.

HOUSE RULES

  • Everyone must sign a release form.
  • Closed toe shoes are required, no high heels.
  • Spectators will be asked to leave if they throw.
  • Intoxicated guests will not be allowed to throw.
  • Must be 21 to drink alcohol.

AXE SAFETY

  • One axe per lane.
  • Axes must stay within its designated throwing lane.
  • Never hand an axe to the next thrower, place the axe in its bin at the red line area of your lane.
  • Be aware of your surroundings; no swinging, no gesturing, no flipping!!
  • Ask staff for help with retrieving an axe.

LANE SAFETY

  • One thrower per lane, no exceptions.
  • Non-throwers MUST stay behind the yellow line at all times.
  • Keep hands off fencing.
  • Inform the staff of any loose boards.
  • No food or drink in lanes.

SAFETY POLICY

Safety is fist in mind with everything we do at BUCKEYE AXE THROWING. Please carefully read and understand everything below in order to have a safe and fun experience throwing axes. Be aware that any violation of our safety policies or other behavior deemed unsafe by our staff will result in you or your group in being unable to participate in your event, and/or immediate removal from the premises. Your events fees will not be refunded.

CLOTHING

Please wear properly fitting clothing which allows you a good range of motion. CLOSED-TOE SHOES ARE REQUIRED for anyone entering the throwing lane. Loose fitting clothing such as hoodies, shawls, scarves, and any other accessories that can create an unsafe condition by limiting your mobility are prohibited. Your Axepert will exercise his/her discretion when meeting your group – and you may be asked to remove any clothing items or accessories that may present a safety risk. We trust you and your group will cooperate with our guidance.

WHILE THROWING

  • You will be instructed in safety guidelines of our facility, throwing techniques, and the structure of play.
  • NEVER enter the throwing lane until given permission to do so by your Axepert.
  • NEVER cross the throwing line until axes have come to rest at either the target area or upon the floor.
  • NEVER throw until the guest in the adjacent lane has completed their throw (like at a bowling alley).
  • NEVER leave the throwing lane with an axe.
  • Food and beverages are not allowed inside the yellow safety lines, no exceptions.

AXEPERTS

Follow all directions/guidance given by our Axeperts and other staff. Should you forget a safety rule, you will receive a friendly but firm reminder(s) from them. However, repeated failure to comply with the safety rules may result in your removal from the throwing area and/or our facility. Please take our Axeperts directions seriously, as all rules are in place for your safety.

ROUGHHOUSING AND HORSEPLAY

We ask that all guests behave in an adult and responsible manner. We are here to have fun, but safety certainly comes first. Our staff will issue warnings for any roughhousing or horseplay. Multiple warnings may result in removal from the throwing lanes or immediate removal from our premises. Refunds will not be given.

ALCOHOL

We sincerely ask that you arrive for your throwing time alert and free from any substance that may hinder your attention and focus. During your time with us, please drink responsibly. We believe that enjoying alcoholic beverages during your throwing time is both possible and safe when done in moderation and responsibly. Drinking to excess puts the safety of yourself and others at risk and will not be tolerated. Please be aware that arrival under the influence or excessive consumption during your time with us WILL result in removal from our throwing lanes and/or premises. No refunds will be given.

SHOULD THIS OCCURE, PLEASE REALIZE THAT THEY ARE DOING SO NOT ONLY FOR YOUR SAFETY, BUT FOR THAT OF OTHERS AS WELL.

AXES

All throwing axes are provided by Buckeye Axe Throwing. As required by our insurance provided, guests may NOT bring their own axes or any other throwing objects onto our premises.

SUMMARY

  • Closed-toe shoes are required in order to throw. No loose clothing or hoodies. High heels are also prohibited (boots are okay).
  • Follow ALL of the Axperts instructions.
  • NEVER enter the throwing lane without permission from the Axeperts.
  • NEVER cross the throwing line until your Axepert approves.
  • NEVER throw until all other guests in your area are behind the yellow safety line.
  • NEVER leave the axe throwing lane with an axe.
  • No food or beverages in front of the yellow safety line.
  • NO roughhousing or horseplay.
  • Arrive sober. Drink responsibly.
  • Our insurance provider prohibits any guest from bringing their own throwing objects of any kind.
  • If removed from the premises, refunds will NOT be given.
  • Buckeye Axe Throwing takes your safety and others very seriously.
  • Buckeye Axe Throwing is a smoke-free facility.
